DIE TÖDIN
We are thrilled to announce the definitive self-titled collection from Heartworm favorite Die Tödin.
Die Tödin is a darkwave project from Gelsenkirchen. Emerging quietly from the German underground, the music draws from elements of goth, dark electro, post-punk, and black metal. Built from stark rhythms, cold synthesizers, magnetic hooks, and a voice suspended between distance and confession, Die Tödin's songs are as immediate as they are devastating, pairing striking melodic instinct with a fully realized expression of sorrow and melancholia.
Originally appearing through a series of solitary singles, sold out and sought after, Die Tödin’s music developed outside of trend or nostalgia. Sung in both English and German, the songs inhabit a world where depression, doom, and the absurdity of modern existence are pushed to their emotional extremes. The lyrics confront the unbearable with startling directness, finding an unlikely elegance in the bleakest corners of human experience. These are not songs that borrow the language of despair; they inhabit it completely.
Collected here as a single statement, revealing the full architecture of the work, a body of music defined by hopelessness, atmosphere, and a rare clarity of vision.
The first pressing is available on Pure White Vinyl or limited edition Black Static and includes an 11 × 17" newsprint poster.
