This limited edition embossed suede book contains 35 polaroids selected from the artist’s personal archive, comprising the first comprehensive publication of this body of photographs. Closer as love is published to coincide with an exhibition of the original works at Nina Johnson Gallery in Miami. Limited to 300 copies.

Breyer P-Orridge are lovers who fused art with daily life, eventually pursuing a series of plastic surgeries to become identical twins—a plural self they’ve termed a “Pandrogyne”. Each picture in the book focuses on an extreme close-up of their touching, twinning and intertwining bodies. Distinctions are playfully and intentionally obscured, so that the images verge on abstractions of intimacy itself. Explicitly and intensely erotic, the images are the product of the most extreme experiments in art as life, illustrating one of the most beautiful love stories in art history.
