Sabbatical Book

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of its release, Rosa Anschütz presents the book edition of Sabbatical… a striking visual counterpart to her acclaimed 14-track opus. Across 464 pages and more than 2,500 images, the book transforms the films Rosa created for each song into a rich sequential narrative, playing like a film rendered in still images. More than a collection of photographs, it is an immersive visual journey that expands the world of Sabbatical, revealing its haunting imagery and dreamlike symbolism frame by frame.

Designed by Sebastian Koeck, this meticulously crafted volume is produced in a strictly limited edition, making it as much a collectible art object as an extension of the Sabbatical universe.

"Having been a comic enthusiast for decades, I have been neglecting the pencil marker too long. The Sabbatical book is thought of as a song book- a comic bringing all the colors and film scenarios of the Album once again onto the stage. Sabbatical doesn't follow one narration; some of it reflects my coming of age and the perspective gained through life choices. The videos were filmed between 2023 and 2025 across Spain, Iceland, Poland, and the two home harbors, Berlin and Strausberg in Germany."
